US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers.
Reston Soccer Association began sponsoring the program in the fall 2004. It is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, ages 4-19, who has a mental or physical disability. Our goal is to enable the thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the US YOUTH SOCCER family.
Registration is $9.00 and an RSA t-shirt will be provided. The program will run on weekends at a time to be determined by the needs of the children and parents and the availability of volunteers. Games and activities will be determined by the abilities and interests of the players.
In Reston, Colleen Hale is the program leader and coach. Colleen is a special Education teacher at Forest Edge Elementary school in Reston, and been involved in Reston Soccer as a parent and commissioner for 13 years.
