Youth is a state of mind! At the YMCA, older adults partcipate in group activities that develop physical fitness, foster new friendships, and facilitate shared interests. Some specific Y programs are offered just for seniors - such as National Senior Health & Fitness Day and Active Older Adult exercise classes - but older adults are also welcome to join any Y program that suits them.
The YMCA Active Older Adult (AOA) programs are open to all adults ages 62 and up and are designed to encourage active older adults to maintain a healthy lifestyle through wellness, fitness, and social opportunities. AOA participants enjoy local attractions, wellness and health fairs, health screenings, outdoor excursions, luncheons, socials, and much more!
