The Co-Director will be expected to provide dynamic leadership that will facilitate the growth of extramurally funded research and training initiatives, mentor junior faculty, and guide the UCEDD in providing interdisciplinary pre-service preparation and continuing education, community services, conducting research, influencing policy and practices, and disseminating information.
This 12-month tenure-earning position is offered at the rank of associate to full professor. The qualified candidate will have a Doctorate in an appropriate discipline related to the support of individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g., psychology, education, special education, communication disorders, etc.). The candidate is expected to have professional expertise commensurate with the assumption of a leadership role for the direction of a large interdisciplinary research and training program including substantial experience with directing externally-funded projects, influencing policy and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, and working in partnership with state agencies and advocacy organizations.
