Wheelchair Maintenance Guide

Quick Navigation

Focus mode

Buying and maintaining a wheelchair is not an easy feat.  Due to restrictions in insurance coverage and years before a wheelchair can be replaced, typically a minimum of five years, it is imperative that you practice regular maintenance and cleaning for your wheelchair.

Properly maintaining a wheelchair will not only increase its longevity, but will also make it easier to propel and steer resulting in less wear and tear on the user.  A wheelchair is an extension of the body, so just like putting on clothes or grooming, it can make a statement about the person. Keeping a clean, well-maintained wheelchair can help display a positive self-image and allow one’s confidence to radiate!
