Headquartered at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s (UAB) School of Health Professions, NCHPAD has evolved from a resource center into a public health practice and implementation science pioneer. In 2021, NCHPAD expanded significantly, focusing on three key strategies:

Introducing NCHPAD Connect, a participant-centered wellness database promoting data-driven decision-making processes through our Data Coordinating Center.
Increasing access.
Introducing and increasing access to a wide array of evidence-based, virtual health promotion programs and wellness opportunities lead by disability health professionals.
Advancing inclusion.
Fostering inclusion through effective communication and dissemination, training and technical assistance – with a continued commitment to capacity building.
