NRPA Announces Parks for Inclusion Partnership with Lakeshore Foundation, NCHPAD
The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) is dedicated to ensuring that all people have access to the benefits of local parks and recreation. To achieve this, NRPA has made a formal commitment to the Partnership for Inclusive Health’s Commit to Inclusion initiative. This commitment is a three-year pledge - Parks for Inclusion.

American Walks Micro Grants
Have an idea to get your community on the walking path? America Walks is excited to extend another round of community change micro grants to individuals and communities interested in improving the public sphere for walking or otherwise helping to make walking more commonplace. This program awards up to $1,500 to fund or help to catalyze smaller-scale, low-cost projects and programs that increase the prevalence of walking, expand the diversity of people and organizations working to advance walkability, and help to make walking safer, easier, and more fun for all community members.

New Health & Disability E-learning Module for Health Department Staff
NACCHO’s Health and Disability Program is proud to announce a new online e-learning module titled, “Health and Disability 101: Training for Health Department Employees.” The purpose of this training is to educate health department staff about the benefits of including people with disabilities in all public health programs, products and services. To access this free training, click here. This course can be accessed through NACCHO University, NACCHO’s learning management platform. In order to view the course, you will need to create a MyNACCHO account by clicking the “sign in” button on the top right. Follow the prompts to create a new account and you will be re-directed back to the NACCHO University homepage. When signed-in, you can access your account by clicking on your name on the top right.
