PVA uses that expertise to be an advocate for:
Sports and Recreation Program
Sports improves lives. Time and again we've seen that participating in a sport helps a person physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. For people with disabilities, sports have benefits during rehabilitation and throughout life. PVA's Sports and Recreation Program promotes a range of activities for our members and other people with disabilities, with special emphasis on activities that enhance lifetime health and fitness.
PVA's second largest sports project is the PVA National Bass Tour. The Bass Tour consists of four tournaments that introduce anglers with disabilities to recreational fishing through a competitive forum.
The PVA National Trapshoot Circuit is also one of our biggest projects. The Circuit consists of nine tournaments that introduce trapshooting as a recreational and competitive sport to both shooters with disabilities and ablebodied shooters.
